About Anne Forsey

Anne (AnnE, Annie) Forsey, I was born on Staten Island, NY but moved around a lot growing up including Norway, Sweden and Key Biscayne, Florida before moving to Utah.  She enjoys Pilates, long distance running, hiking, sewing, throwing parties, graphic design and interior design.

She started Mat Pilates with videos at home about 15 years ago and started taking Hot Pilates classes several years later.  After searching for a local reformer studio with out any luck, she was grateful when her friend and neighbor Kim Atkin opened her studio in her home just a few minutes from her house.  She began taking classes 2-3 times a week and continued practicing with Kim as the studio grew from four to six reformers. Kim has been a great instructor and mentor for her.  After several years, Kim asked if she was interested in becoming an instructor. She began her certification process and began teaching at Kim’s studio and then at The Core since it opened it's doors.

She loves that Pilates is accessible for everyone.  Anne is passionate about helping people improve their health and create a balanced approach to wellness.  Anne attended BYU and studied Art History.  She is a certified Pilates Evolution - 500 hour reformer, mat, and tower. She also got a Mat Pilates Certification from Pure Precision Pilates where she perfected her practice in Hot Pilates, HIIT Mat Pilates, Classical and Contemporary Mat Pilates.

Anne has four kids that she loves. She recently hiked the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim.  She has ran the Saint George Marathon several times, and is working toward running the NYC marathon.

Find Anne teaching Contemporary Athletic Reformer.  She likes to incorporate  weights and shuffle in jumpbaord, chair and slow flow to keep classes fresh.  Love mixing upbeat current songs with 90’s favorites.
